Community Rules

Woodside Wire works because neighbors look out for each other. These are the house rules — breaking them can get content removed or accounts suspended.

  1. 1

    Keep it local

Woodside Wire is for Woodside and its immediate neighbors. Post events, requests, and services that are actually relevant to people here.

  2. 2

    Be accurate

Double-check dates, times, locations, and prices before you post. If plans change, update or remove your listing. Don't post events that have already happened.

  3. 3

    Be a good neighbor

Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or personal attacks — in posts or in private messages.

  4. 4

    No spam or scams

Don't post the same thing repeatedly, don't post misleading offers, and never ask members for money, gift cards, or passwords. If it feels like a scam, report it.

  5. 5

    Keep it legal and safe

Nothing illegal, nothing dangerous, nothing adult-oriented. No selling regulated goods or services. Posts involving children must be appropriate and from a parent, guardian, or legitimate organization.

  6. 6

    Respect privacy

Don't share anyone's personal information — address, phone number, or private messages — without their permission.

  7. 7

    Businesses: identify yourselves

If you're posting as a business, use a business account. Don't disguise advertising as a personal recommendation.

  8. 8

    Report, don't retaliate

See something that breaks these rules? Use the report button and let the moderation team handle it. Don't start public fights.

How moderation works

Reports go to a real human on our team. We review every report, and we may remove content, warn the poster, or suspend the account depending on severity. Repeated or serious violations mean a permanent ban. Decisions are at our discretion, and we'll always err on the side of keeping neighbors safe.
